After finishing the Iterations and finalizing the design. I create basic grey value of the light and shadow on my Mantis girl.
I create another iteration page for colour iterations. Each colour scheme is referenced from real mantis as I colour pick the main 3-4 colour that is found on the mantis.

Colour Iteration
ProcessAfter getting the desired colour, I use parts of the photo gathered on my moldboard to create the mantis part by photobashing and warping each part onto my sketch.
After getting the parts, I paint over some parts of the photobashing to blend them together. I use tone curve to adjust the tone and saturation of the mantis to be more pink.
I keep rendering the parts and adding more shadow to create more depth to the flat photobashing parts.
Adding lighting and more shadow, I paint most of the cloak to create an iridescent effect on them.
I make the back of the mantis girl by flipping the drawing and painting over/photobash.
Final Piece
And my Flower Mantis girl is finished! I was not expected the final outcome of the design to come out as a monster girl design nor I thought it would end up this pink. I am satisfied with how it turned out even though I was struggling a lot with the photobashing or overpainting. This is the first time I photobash and I will surely use this skill I learn in the future to improve my work and projects.
