After the iterations come more...Iterations. I started off by choosing the characters I like the most. I made a few of my friends take part in choosing the characters they like and a few tutors too. The sheet below is my own favourite iterations.
50 iteration designs
I pick out 6 favourite designs I would like to keep and develop further but also morph the favourite iterations of my iterations into the final design.

After choosing the ones I like, I decided to change the pose I will use on the final render to show the hands better as it was placed on the hip before. I based the pose on the Thai dance that I am familiar with to suit the character I am making.
Changing the pose for the final design
The feedback I got was that it was a little too dynamic so I settled with the pose similar to the sketch with the Thai dance hand sign to indicate that she is a dancer. I later start on designing the character, finding faces for references and adding hair before drawing full body sketch of my character.

Anatomy Sketch
The final step was drawing the clothes I wanted from the iterations I choose. I first start off with short hair but after trying the long hair and comparing their silhouettes. I feel like it has more flowy aesthetic I want from this character than the short one. It was hard to choose, however, due to the cleaner shape. In the end, I choose the long ponytail and began my line art

Final design
This is the final design I go for. I really like the looks of the arms and the silhouette overall. I wish I could take more time with it and have more ideas on the piece but it already took so much time to work on I really need to start on the colouring. At the start of the project, I was thinking I could be a character artist and now I am unsure... maybe I still have to find myself.
I did enjoy the silhouettes part though. The final line art process not so much.
