I was away during this task too and find myself struggling with colour pencils. In this task, I need to produce one portrait of a life model in colour. Because the paper is not toned paper anymore like the last task, I will have t try and blend the colour.
Process
I once again, use my sister as a model. I sketch her out lightly with a pencil
and after I was using a brown colour to do the rest of the sketches, block outs and details.
I regret not taking more pictures of the process as I was running in a limited time, I started off by colouring the skin colour then the hair and the rest of the assets she have.
Final Piece
The result of this was not as good as I expected it to be with the very visible inconsistent blending that I tried to do with colour pencils. I find colour pencils to be the hardest media to blend and I will need more practice to be able to use it efficiently. The colour is harder to capture due to how limited my colour choices are. If I can do this task again, I would like to improve the way I colour and how I should not use cross-hatching in other to blend the colour as it creates visible (and not erasable) strokes.
