Table and Chairs model

Table and Chairs: 3dsMax practice

This is the first time I've ever used or heard about 3dsMax.Thus before I could start working on the piece properly I needed to learn how to use the controls. Soon later with a random pressing of the buttons, googling and listening to the introduction to 3ds Max video. I am slowly getting used to the shortcuts such as copying objects, moving the camera, and starting on the assignment.

Process and Final Piece.

I followed the tutorial posted on Blackboard in order to make this set. The video taught me the basics of the program and how to navigate the main feature used in 3D modeling.

First, I started by making the box and creating segments before adding the legs of the table with the Extrude tool.

Later I made the chair with the same method. Adding the backrest, I fill the gap with the Bridge command.

Final Piece

I felt like I picked up the skill I needed quite quickly. I was very proud of myself for how it turned out. In my opinion, building the table and chairs for the first task was a very good practice as it was quite easy. I have no problem doing this task at all. However, It was only the first task. I am sure later projects will be a lot harder but I will most definitely work harder and improve myself too.
